I want to apply for copyright on my work. What is the procedure?

In the Netherlands, the creation of copyright is not subject to any formality. You don't have to apply, file or register anything and it costs nothing. You automatically receive copyright if you create something in the field of literature, science or art. However, it must have its own original characteristics and the maker's personal mark. Creative choices must have been made in the creation of the work. Furthermore, it is required that the work has been presented in a sensory perceptible form. Thus, an idea that has not been developed further is not protected by copyright.
