Do repeated images qualify for distribution?

Repeating images within the same publication or broadcast does not qualify for a collective rights fee. So if a photo is shown 3 times within the same broadcast of, for example, a newsreel, you may only claim it once. If the same photo is shown in different broadcasts, for example in the afternoon broadcast and in the evening broadcast, then you can submit it. It must be two different broadcasts, not a rerun of the same broadcast.

Exception: in the case of books, newspapers and magazines, an image that appears on the cover and is later used again in the interior may be entered separately. For the interior the same applies as above, a contribution may only be entered once.
