Karlijn Vogel appointed Director of Pictoright as of 1 March 2026

The Supervisory Board of Pictoright has appointed Karlijn Vogel as Director as of 1 March 2026. She will take over the role from Vincent van den Eijnde, who will retire this year.

Broad experience with tech platforms and AI

Vogel began her career as a lawyer at an insurance company before moving into the international corporate sector. At KLM, she served, among other roles, as Director Social Media, where she was responsible for the social media strategy supporting KLM’s core operations, including the introduction of AI to respond to customer inquiries more quickly. This led to a significant improvement in response times and customer satisfaction. As Group Director at Meta, she led a team responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships with globally operating “disruptor” clients headquartered in the Netherlands. Her focus was on AI-driven marketing and sales solutions.

Retirement

Van den Eijnde, who has led Pictoright since its founding 18 years ago, will remain connected to the organization for some time after 1 March 2026 to ensure a smooth transfer and completion of his responsibilities. Under his leadership, Pictoright has grown into a successful and active advocate for affiliated visual creators. The funds distributed have increased steadily over the years. This achievement is due in large part to his passionate commitment and perseverance. His official farewell will take place later this year.

Statement from the Chair

“Vincent has laid a strong foundation on which the organization can continue to build. We will press ahead with developing new revenue streams and with the legal actions already underway. I am delighted that Karlijn has chosen to join us. AI, tech platforms, and rapidly changing legislation will be the major challenges for visual creators in the years ahead. She knows this field from the inside, and with her knowledge and experience we are well strengthened to face these challenges,” said Chair Diederik van Leeuwen.
